Enterprise Development
Chemin has 120 trading SMEs and 100 SMEs under development (projects). Since inception, Chemin has graduated over 30 SMEs that are still in business today. Our graduates and current trading SMEs in the portfolio are making significant contribution to the economy of South Africa. The SMEs and graduates have up until today been funded through Chemin funds.
Chemin has now introduced an alternative funding source, which is through Enterprise Development as part of the BEE Score card. Chemin’s incubation model provides a holistic support programme to entrepreneurs to become financially sustainable. It must be noted that Chemin only support entrepreneurs that intend to manufacture chemical related products. Chemin provides the holistic support of the SMEs and projects under development through a network of incubation centres in Port Elizabeth, East London, Durban, Mogale City (Krugersdorp) and Thembisa.
Chemin offers a simple and effective solutions to your company’s ED needs by acting as a conduit of Enterprise Development funds to the beneficiary. Should you wish to make an Enterprise Development contribution to the Chemin (Chemistry Incubator), please contact Colin, Email: colin@chemin.co.za. Tel: 010 594 0641.
Chemin is part of the Department of Small Business Development through Seda’s Technology Incubation Programme. It has a clear mandate. All funds received through Enterprise Development are used solely for the development of SMEs into sustainable chemical businesses that contribute to the economic development of South Africa and the region where they are located.
